The year is seriously speeding along, with March and April over in what seems like a blink of the eye.

The team at Style on Stage have been more than just busy, with bikini orders and posing sessions taking up every possible minute of the day – then, in our spare time we have been creating this wonderful new website (well, with a little help from Kristy, Mike and Claire that is). Now that the new site is up and running we will be adding more products to the shopping cart, including a brand new range of shoes, direct from the USA....

We are very proud to now be retailers for the “Pleaser USA” brand and will be stocking a basic range of shoes but will also have the ability to order any shoe from the Pleaser and their other associated brands. I will have access to a huge selection of boots and shoes with plenty of options and ideas for theme wear and sportswear categories too. With the new stock taking up so much room we will be putting our old ‘Style on Stage’ shoes on special and offering them at ridiculously low prices. Keep an eye out for these soon.

Orders for all shows in May and June have closed and any girl wanting a new suit for shows in July will need to make contact with Jo as soon as possible. If you need a bikini urgently there are always beautiful suits available on the DIVA Consignments website – both brand new and pre loved. We also have a small selection of plainer sports model suits on the ‘swimwear’ page.

We are also in the final stages of securing the date for Jo’s Darwin TOP Workshop. At this stage it looks like being held on 16th or 17th July. More information will be posted as soon as details have been finalised.

Seriously, can it really be the end of January already?? The beginning of the year has certainly been an eye opener for us here in Queensland. We arrived back from annual leave on the 4th January to the same rain we left 4 weeks earlier (thoughts of Noah's ark and the 40 days and 40 nights came to mind) Within a week a fair chunk of our state was underwater and tens of thousands of families and businesses had major loss and damage. We were very lucky, and other than a small degree of inconvenience, came out of the floods unscathed. My partner and I have done our best to donate time and money to various organisations and groups, and will continue to do so as the clean up and recovery continues.

The first show for the year is less than 5 weeks away, and then its non stop competition action right through to November. There are more shows on offer this year for competitors than ever before. With this in mind I can only imagine how busy we will be here at Style on Stage. I already have close to 100 bikini orders for 2011 and we are only in our 4th week for the year!

Girls, please make sure you contact me at least 8-10 weeks prior to your show. Getting in even earlier to secure your bikini would be advisable. It is never too early to organise your posing suit.

The Style on Stage website will be getting a much needed, long overdue make over and will be launched in the near future. I am very excited and cannot wait to see the final product. After building my own websites for Style on Stage and the other affiliated businesses, it is nice to have someone else do all the work for me. In the mean time I will still be updating this one with any important information and new products as they come to hand.

It is hard to believe that it is nearly 6 months since I have had time to sit here and write some news. Life at SOS world has been more than a little hectic with over 200 bikinis made and decorated for the September/October shows and nearly 40 hours of posing sessions held on a weekly basis at the Style on Stage studio. On top of that I got a chance to travel and meet some awesome people during the very successful TOP Workshop tour.

I am not long back from Sydney where I was attending the IFBB Australian titles - the last show to be held in Australia for 2010. What a weekend! So many fantastic physiques on show and I feel like a proud mum with quite a few Style on Stage clients taking out top places in their categories. The previous weeks ANB Nationals was just as successful with 5 out of the 6 figure classes won by my clients. Of course there were plenty of other wins and placings through the weekend too and I am hoping to have all the results for these shows, as well as many more available to view very soon.

Style on Stage is growing every year, and is at the stage where I am (reluctantly) letting go of some of the work and I now have some awesome girls working for me. I will be adding profiles for them over the next month so you will get a chance to meet them and learn just a little of their background in this sport.

In case you don't already know, I am now writing articles for Oxygen magazine. The current series is on all the' Onstage' aspects of getting ready for a show, so keep an eye out for them when you next purchase the magazine.

There are so many things in the pipeline for Style on Stage for 2011, it is certainly looking like a huge year ahead. More TOP Workshops, new bikini range, more accessories, more services, more products.... the list goes on. But for now I just have to finalise the orders for the upcoming International shows and then the fun begins!

PLEASE NOTE: I will be on annual leave for the entire month of December - a very well earned break - so email contact will be limited and the studio will be closed for this time. If there is anything required super urgently I will have someone available to help - but only for emergencies, all general inquiries will be looked in the first week of the new year. If you have plans on competing very early in 2011 then I suggest you contact me now, before my machinist and I go on holidays. There are still 5 weeks left to get orders underway.

I will be updating the website over the next few weeks so if anyone has some pictures they would like added to the gallery page just send them through. Also, if you know of any shows being organised please let me know about dates, locations and contacts so I can add them to the contest calendar, there is very little information on the federation websites right now for 2011 show dates :(

Half of 2010 has pretty much flown by and Style on Stage have been busy preparing girls and guys for the early season shows. It is now time for competitors to get read for those shows in September/October.

With this in mind, we are running our Onstage Preparation workshops again. They are designed to give female competitors of all divisions the neccessary information for them to confidently step on stage regardless of experience level. This year, due to popular demand, a few of the workshops will be unisex, with heaps of great information for the guys too!! The recent 2010 NABBA Southern Hemisphere Championships dvd is now instore and ready to purchase!! For the first time, Ian Adams has released 2 seperate dvds, one for the bodybuilding divisions and the second for the Sports Model Competition. The show was another huge success for Mark and Leah Ryan and Style on Stage would like to personally congratulate them as well as 4 of our wonderful clients. Helen Longmuir won the WFF Masters Ms Atheltic division, Taylor Young took out 1st place in the NABBA Women's Physique division, Michelle Nazaroff for her Class 1 WFF Ms Athletic win and Overall WFF title and her husband David, for his Class 1 WFF Mr Athletic win and Overall WFF title. Congratulations go out to all the other competitors for a fantastic show!

Orders for shows in July have now closed but ready made and pre loved bikinis are available at http://www.divaconsignments.com. Don't leave things too long girls, these bikinis fly out the door leading up to competitions!! If anyone has competition apparel they no longer need or want then consider having them listed on DIVA Consignments.

If anyone is needing bikinis, posing trunks or onstage preparation help for upcoming shows please don't hesitate to email me as soon as possible. I am often booked out for 30-50 hours of posing sessions a week so getting your appointments arranged in advance are very much advisable. Bikini orders will need to be finalised by late July/early August for the september shows.

No rest for the wicked this Easter long weekend, with bikinis to decorate, posing to teach, routines to choreograph!! Things are going a million miles an hour here at SOS land. Orders for bikinis for shows in April and May have had to close due to numbers already recieved, but girls, we have a wide range of ready made and pre loved bikinis available at our sister site - http://www.divaconsignments.com - not only are there awesome 2 piece bikinis but also platform shoes, evening gowns, accessories and theme wear options.

Style on Stage may very well be coming to your city! I am in the middle of establishing my newest additons to the SOS family, my three state reps. Competitors in WA,SA and Victoria will now be able to access one on one fittings as well as most items in our online stores. I will be formally introducing Michelle, Noela and Amelia in my next update and giving you all the details of how to get in contact with them to place orders or purchase products.

I must say a big Hello to Angela Merlo in WA. Angela is now decorating bikinis for SOS and adding her designs to our already comprehensive range of bikinis. With Angela on board it means Style on Stage are able to handle even more orders but please remember, we still prefer 8-12 weeks notice for any custom made bikini orders.

I haven't forgotten the guys though - I am in the middle of releasing yet another style of posing trunks. Keep an eye out for its release in the near future!

It is hard to believe that it is nearly March!! So much has happened and so many things planned but basically, it is full steam ahead here in Style on Stage land!

Probably the most important thing for me to mention is for any girl interested in a custom made bikini to get in contact with me ASAP!! I already have over 80 orders for posing suits for the upcoming shows in April and May with more coming through every day. Orders for bikinis needed for shows in late April will close next weekend - March 7th, and the deadline for May shows will close approximately 3 weeks later.

The dvd store has 2 great new additions. After the excellent response we had to our INBA All Female dvd special we are offering a similar deal for the past 3 years of NABBA Southern Hemisphere productions. For just $99 you will receive the full productions of the 07,08 and 09 Nabba Southern Hemisphere - basically getting one dvd for free!

The second inclusion to the online dvd store is the 2009 ANB Asia Pacific International dvd. With so many competitors considering entering this year's event it is a great reference tool, and at just $49.95, an awesome addition to any competition dvd collection.

Over the following month or two Style on Stage will be adding more Next Generation Supplement products to the range we already carry. Keep an eye out for some great prices on their flavoured BCAAs and protein powders.

For March we are giving away one of our handy nylon backsacks/shoe bags with every purchase of full price, current range posing shoes. You have your choice of either pink or black.The special will close on March 31st or until stock runs out.

If you are interested in booking me for Competition Day / Backstage assistance please contact me as soon as possible. You have the option of my exclusive assistance or being part of a small group. If requests increase beyond a number I can successfully manage on my own I will have an assistant available to help us out. Various packages will be available which include full or partial tanning application and company to and from registration.

I will also be offering a full tanning service at all these events, with a portable spray tent and equipment. We will be willing to use a variety of tanning products in the spray gun and then apply any top coats on contest day. Our stunning black satin backstage robes will be available for sale at this time. They are available in both a male and female version and are perfect for post tan application as well as a quick cover up at your show. More information on this service will be available shortly.

I think that is about it from me for now. I would just like to wish all our Australian and New Zealand competitors that are heading over to the Arnold Amateur show in the USA all the best. There is nothing quite like the opportunity to represent your country and to be able to do so at show like the Arnold is an honor. I am sure they will all do us proud.

Oh my, where on earth do I start?? The 2009 body building season is nearly over and things have finally started to quieten down for me. It has most definitely been the biggest year to date for Style on Stage, bringing me to the absolute limit of my workload. There have been many sleepless nights over the past few months as deadlines for suits drew nearer and nearer. But after attending as many of the local and national shows that I was able and seeing such a high percentage of Style on Stage clients competing makes it all worth it.

My sincerest thanks go out to you all for using Style on Stage. As I have said many times in the past, this website is for you and Style on Stage was established to make life easier for the dieting competitor to find all your 'onstage' requirements in one place. The business is growing every year as demand for additional services surfaces. Many things, like a tanning service, has required time and resources to bring it to fruition, but we are proud to announce that from 2010 Style on Stage will be offering a full tanning service for most local and some interstate competitions. We will be able to apply a variety of tanning product including Contest Colour, Jan Tana, Body Shimmer and Dream Tan and these will be available as a one off service or part of a total onstage package. Please keep an eye out for more information as the 2010 shows draw closer.

Another commonly requested item this year has been fancier men's posing trunks. So for those guys out there that are wanting something unique we are now offering a range of crystalised trunks. Some designs will be subtle while others will be a little more "out there" and definitely not for anyone wanting to blend in! With the range only being new the current design numbers are limited but will grow as demand requires.

While things are quiet over the Christmas - New Year period Style on Stage will be offering some great specials. Keep an eye on the 'shopping' page for these. This will initially include great bargains on all our posing shoe range as well as some items of our clothing range in January.

For those of you thinking of the Festive Season, Style on Stage do offer gift vouchers for any product/service or amount, are valid for 6 months from date of purchase and can be arranged by contacting me. Why not put in your request for one when next asked "What do you want for Christmas?"

Unfortunately we will no longer be stocking Gaspari Novedex for those of you that were purchasing it from me. Australian Customs are incredibly strict with their importation laws and we believe there is an ingredient in Novedex they are now not allowing into our country. It is just not worth the risk of having the products confiscated. On another note though, we are now restocking a selection of Next Generation Supplements. This is a wholly Australian owned and made company and were my sponsor during my last few years of competing. The company has grown incredibly over the years and have developed some awesome products and we will be stocking these well below their recommended retail prices.

The INBA Olympia DVDs have been added to the Style on Stage DVD Store. This has been a mammoth editing job for Ian Adams and it is now available for you to purchase. There are three DVDs and are sold individually. The first 2 dvds are Show 1 and Show 2 of the event (as per the program and running order of Sunday 18th Competition) and the 3rd dvd covers all the other events and elements of the Olympia weekend. If you have a question about which dvd you should purchase then please do not hesitate to email me.

Just a very quick update to let you know that Taraxatone is back in stock. It has been a very frustrating 2 months but the package has finally arrived in the country and cleared through customs. So for all those competitors that will be wanting or needing either Taraxatone or Showtime diuretics for your upcoming show get in fast. I will be ordering another shipment in the next week or so (while the Australian Dollar is looking so healthy) but I cannot guarantee supply.

Bikini orders for the INBA All Female Classic have closed as we are now only 5 weeks out from this show. If you are desperate for a new suit please make contact with me as I may have something suitable that has already been made up. Orders for August will be closing in a few weeks time.

I will be in Canberra in 2 weeks (20th-22nd June) and will be conducting a posing workshop as well as bikini fittings. If you are interested in attending the workshop or would like to book in for a suit fitting please contact Nancy Waites (nancywaites@hotmail.com), my Canberra representative, for more information or times that are available.

I will also be in Melbourne in July for the INBA All Girls Classic. I will be available for fittings and one on one posing and choreography sessions. A huge congratulations to all the competitors at the recent NABBA/WFF, ANB and WNBF shows. It has been a very tiring few weeks with 4 shows over 3 weekends but a very successful time for Style on Stage. It is very hard to believe that the early body building season is nearly over. Tomorrow Allison and I are heading down to the Gold Coast for the NABBA Southern Hemisphere show. With an impressive 115+ competitors and a quality unseen for many years, I am really looking forward to it. Hopefully I won't be spending the majority of the day backstage and will get a chance to see some of the action from the audience. Good luck to all the competitors and if you are looking at attending the show then make sure to come up to the Style on Stage trade stand and say hello!

Last week Style on Stage were at the INBA Brisbane show. Around 90 competitors and over 35 Style on Stage bikinis on show, I felt very proud of my efforts. Kind of makes all those sleepless nights worth it. I have also updated the bikini pages with heaps of new designs. Many of these suits will be worn at tomorrows show as well as the upcoming ANB Asia Pacific (http://www.anbasiapacific.com/index.shtml) on the 30th May.

The latest addition to our tanning range is the inclusion of JAN TANA. We are stocking her current best seller "Hi Definition Competition Colour" as well as her brand new product 'Ultra 1" - a one coat show day tan. Each of these products are available as part of a kit or sold seperately along with her scrub, moisturising lotion and glaze. Jan Tana also produce a matching makeup for the perfect facial colour.

I will be in Canberra in June (20th - 22nd) for fittings, one on one posing and choreography sessions and a posing workshop. Bikini orders for the July and August shows will close approx 6 weeks prior to the show date, while orders for the September/October shows may need to be ordered up to 8 weeks prior to the event. Last year I received over 150 bikini orders for those shows alone and it was also the first year I have ever had to turn girls away. Each suit is hand decorated by myself, ensuring quality and originality. The downside is that I can only take on so many orders for each season.
